The Miyazaki mango, often dubbed the “Egg of Sunshine”, is not just a treat for the eyes but also for the taste buds. Known for its deep purple-red skin, fiberless texture, and juicy, creamy flesh, it offers a melt-in-your-mouth experience that few fruits can rival.

  • Grown under specific temperature and humidity conditions
  • Rich in antioxidants, beta-carotene, and natural sugars
  • Exceptionally sweet, aromatic, and ultra-soft

Pakistan’s First Purple Mango Tree

The journey of the world’s most expensive purple mango in Pakistan began when Ghulam Hashim Noorani imported a Miyazaki sapling from Japan nearly six years ago. With careful cultivation and patience, Noorani’s team, including gardener Faheem, has successfully grown the first Miyazaki mango tree in the country.

“This is the only Miyazaki mango tree in Pakistan, and it’s thriving right here in Malir,” said Faheem. According to him, most of the produce is being reserved for international export markets due to its premium pricing.

Global Prestige, Local Achievement

While Indian mangoes face export rejections in the U.S., Pakistan is making headlines with its bold step into the luxury fruit market. The successful growth of the Miyazaki mango represents a new era of high-value agricultural innovation in the country.
