Xiaomi has officially lifted the curtain on its much-anticipated Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro, alongside the new Xiaomi 17 series. These two tablets aim to redefine premium Android tablet performance, offering a sleek design, cutting-edge display, and powerhouse hardware at competitive prices.
Brilliant 11.2-Inch Display with Flagship Features
Both the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro come equipped with a dazzling 11.2-inch LCD screen featuring a sharp 3.2K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate.
With peak brightness of 800 nits, HDR10, HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, and full DC dimming support, these displays are designed for immersive entertainment and professional productivity. Xiaomi has also added a Matte Edition option, which reduces glare by up to 70% thanks to its AG texture coating.
Performance and Battery Power
Under the hood, the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The more advanced Pad 8 Pro steps up with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and an impressive 512GB storage option.
Powering the devices is a robust 9,200mAh battery, with fast charging support—45W for the Pad 8 and 67W for the Pad 8 Pro—ensuring hours of seamless usage.
Sleek Design and Software
Both tablets share an ultra-slim design, measuring only 5.75mm in thickness and weighing 485g, making them lightweight yet premium.
They run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and support modern connectivity standards like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C. Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner further enhance the user experience.
Camera Setup
For photography lovers, the Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter. The Pro version goes big, featuring a 50MP rear camera paired with a 32MP front camera for high-quality video calls and content creation.
