Islamabad, Dec 30: Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is preparing to launch its new smartphone, the Turbo 4, featuring MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 8400-Ultra processor, as revealed by industry insider Digital Chat Station (DCS).
Set to debut on January 2, 2025, in China, the device will sport a vertical dual-camera setup on the rear, with a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera will be a 20-megapixel unit for selfies.
The Turbo 4 will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will offer configurations with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage. A 6,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging support is included, ensuring long-lasting power. Standard connectivity options like USB-C, speaker, microphone, and SIM card slot will be located along the bottom edge.
Design-wise, the device will have volume and power buttons on the right side. It will be available in three colors: black, white, and blue. Leaked images suggest that the Turbo 4 shares design elements with Apple’s iPhone 16.
This launch will also introduce the Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset to the smartphone market, setting new performance standards for its segment.
