Islamabad, 29 May 2025: Xiaomi has recently introduced the YU7, a luxury electric SUV designed to rival Tesla’s Model Y.
The vehicle boasts impressive features, including a top speed of 157 mph, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds, and a range of 835 km.
With ultra-fast charging capabilities adding 620 km of range in just 15 minutes, the YU7 is set to commence sales in July.
Simultaneously, Xiaomi has launched its first in-house flagship chipset, the Xring O1, positioning it as a formidable competitor to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s A18 series.

Built on a second-generation 3nm process, the Xring O1 features a 10-core CPU and a 16-core GPU, delivering top-tier performance. This chip debuts in the new 15S Pro smartphone and the Pad 7 Ultra tablet.
In a strategic move to bolster its technological capabilities, Xiaomi has announced plans to invest approximately $27.8 billion in core technology research and development over the next five years.
This substantial investment underscores the company’s commitment to advancing in sectors like electric vehicles and semiconductors.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has reported a record first-quarter revenue of 111.3 billion yuan ($15.48 billion), marking a 47% year-on-year increase.
