The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned several YouTubers and social media influencers for their alleged role in promoting large-scale financial scams linked to unlicensed online trading and gambling applications.
According to official documents, Mudassar Hassan, Muhammad Anas Ali, Iqra Kanwal, and Muhammad Husnain Shah have been directed to appear before investigators at the NCCIA office in Lahore on September 2, 2025. The summons are part of an ongoing probe into illegal online betting and trading platforms.
The individuals are accused of glamorizing and legitimizing unregulated apps on social media, persuading young people to invest in high-risk, unregistered platforms. Authorities allege this coordinated promotion scheme was designed to defraud the public.

The NCCIA has warned that failure to appear before investigators will be treated as either an admission of guilt or forfeiture of the right to defend themselves.
Earlier findings, supported by whistleblower testimonies, revealed that the controversial platform “World 777” had been heavily funding influencer-driven campaigns across social media. Officials say the app lured thousands of unsuspecting Pakistanis—particularly youth—into gambling under the guise of trading, causing widespread financial losses.
A list of prominent figures allegedly linked to the promotion includes model and TV personality Mathira, popular YouTuber Nadir Ali, as well as influencers Aimen Zaman, Varda Malik, Javeria Aurangzeb, Abeera Khan, Faryal Fairy, and Nauman Kazmi.
Authorities estimate that billions of rupees are being siphoned out of Pakistan monthly through these platforms, fueling a shadow economy, damaging financial stability, and pushing vulnerable users toward addiction and economic ruin.
