Islamabad, Dec 10: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Monday sealed 104 illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulter premises across Lahore.
The operations targeted various areas, including Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town, Subzazar Housing Scheme, Upper Mall, and Gulshan-e-Ravi, with premises like Utility Stores, Allied Schools, American Lycetuff, Zicas School System, marriage halls, bakeries, and offices being sealed for illegal commercial use and nonpayment of fees.
The enforcement teams, supervised by Chief Town Planners I Assad-Uz-Zaman and II Azhar Ali, conducted the operations with police support.
Notices had been served prior to these actions. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has ordered the continuation of such operations to address bylaw violations and enhance compliance in the provincial capital.
