Islamabad 12 July: With 8.6 million tickets sold, the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have broken the previous record of 8.3 million tickets held by the 1996 Atlanta Games. Tony Estanguet, the organizer of the 2024 Paris Olympics, verified this enormous accomplishment on Thursday.

We’ve already surpassed the 8.3 million tickets sold at the 1996 Atlanta Games, which set the record, Estanguet told AFP. He stated, “We have over one million tickets for the Paralympics and 8.6 million tickets for the Olympics.”

The Olympics in Paris are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, and the organizers are hoping that 10 million people will attend in all. They also anticipate an additional 3.4 million spectators for the Paralympics, which take place from August 28 to September 8, in addition.

More tickets for a variety of sports would be made available, Estanguet revealed in the last stretch leading up to the Games. The good news, according to Estanguet, is that several tickets for a variety of sports are now accessible in the last stretch. “There are many excellent options available at varying price points for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics and Paralympics. We are proud to have already beaten the record, but we can still do even better,” Estanguet continued, expressing pride in the sales that had broken previous records.
