Islamabad, Dec 21: Honda has unveiled the interior of the highly anticipated 2026 Prelude, which is set to make its return to the U.S. market in late 2025.

The interior, reminiscent of the Honda Civic, features paddle shifters, a push-button gear selector, and a bench-style rear seat. This glimpse comes from a prototype drive showcased to Japanese media.

For car enthusiasts who might have missed the recent buzz, Honda confirmed the Prelude’s comeback just two days ago. Now, the YouTube channel Lovecars!TV! has provided a closer look, with interior footage appearing around the three-minute mark of their video.

Islamabad. Dec 21: The Prelude’s design borrows heavily from the Civic, particularly the dashboard and infotainment system, which retain the Civic’s honeycomb-style air vents.

However, the paddle shifters are larger, resembling those in the Acura Integra A-Spec. Additionally, the Prelude introduces Honda’s push-button gear selector instead of the traditional lever.

Screenshots shared by HondaProJason on Instagram further highlight the well-bolstered front seats, while the rear seats appear less emphasized.

One standout feature is the S+ button, designed for enhanced driver engagement. According to Honda, this mode optimizes engine and motor efficiency while delivering sharper simulated shifts and incorporating active sound control to mimic engine noises.

The Prelude will feature Honda’s hybrid system, pairing a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. Instead of a torque-converter automatic or CVT, it utilizes a direct-drive setup with fixed ratios.

Details on the Prelude remain limited, but more updates are expected early next year. Honda has confirmed the sporty coupe’s return for late 2025.
