Islamabad, Oct 25: 367 Pakistani Students Awarded Hunricum Scholarships Over Last Three Years, Senate Informed. Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, said on Friday that 367 Pakistani students have received scholarships via the Bilateral Exchange Scholarships Program (Stipendium Hungaricum) in the last three years.

About 123 students obtained Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships during this time, according to a provincial breakdown provided by Senator Tarar in response to a question posed by Senator Shahadat Awan during the Senate session.

Senator Kamran Murtaza underlined in a follow-up question that these scholarships ought to be given to Balochistani students according to where they live, with the necessary Deputy Commissioner’s confirmation and attestation needed.

He voiced his worry that some kids from more affluent districts had obtained scholarships with shoddy paperwork, depriving worthy children from less affluent areas of this chance.

In response, Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar affirmed that the ID cards and place of residence of students are used to determine the awarding of scholarships. Additionally, he promised that before scholarships are given out, students’ documentation will be more thoroughly verified.
