Islamabad, Aug 24: LAHORE: According to ARY News on Saturday, the District Education Authority suspended 56 teachers for neglecting to show up for work for the supplemental board exams for Lahore students.
After conducting an investigation, the education department found that a number of teachers had purposefully turned off their phones or declined to carry out their allocated tasks on the day of the tests.
The inquiry report brought to light serious administrative errors brought on by these professors’ absences.
Exam centers experienced a staffing shortfall as a result of the invigilator’s absence, which delayed exam start times and made it more challenging to stop students from cheating.
According to sources, the exam environment was disrupted and the students who were retaking their exams had unwarranted difficulties as a result of the personnel shortage.
The Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability (PEDA) Act would be applied to the 56 instructors, according to a statement made by the District Education Authority.
