Islamabad, Oct 21: Abu Bakar Assumes Role as CEO of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). Abu Bakar now serves as the Pakistan Software Export Board’s (PSEB) chief executive officer. He was greeted by senior PSEB personnel, who also gave him an update on current projects and activities that are essential to the organization’s goals.

Abu Bakar is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur who brings 24 years of international experience to the role, including 15 in executive capacities. He graduated from a prestigious American university with an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in technology management.

Abu Bakar thanked them upon being appointed, saying, “It is a great honor for me to be a part of PSEB and the MOITT leadership team. I am appreciative of the chance to lead PSEB and serve Pakistan and its citizens.

The appointment of Abu Bakar fills a long-standing void in the leadership role that has existed since August 2022. After a laborious selection process that started with a re-advertisement of the position in April 2024, which resulted in 234 applications and a thorough review of candidates, the federal government appointed him.
