Islamabad, Sep 5: The pre-feasibility study for building a state-of-the-art bus terminal in Islamabad to enhance the city’s public transportation infrastructure has been concluded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In a meeting on Thursday to explore the potential for building a contemporary bus terminal, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and a delegation from the ADB announced the completion of the pre-feasibility. The proposed bus terminal, which will be built on 32 acres in Sector I-11, will have connectivity to important areas of Islamabad, a commercial area, and overnight parking for large and minibus buses.

The project aims to remove encroachments, enhance traffic flow, and offer passengers contemporary travel amenities. In order to guarantee the project’s viability, the CDA Chairman ordered the best financial model to be adopted. When the bus terminal is finished, it will greatly improve the Federal Capital’s public transportation system, allowing for more convenient and effective travel for all residents.
