Islamabad, Sep 25: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has projected a modest recovery in Pakistan’s GDP growth to 2.4% for fiscal year 2024, with further growth of 2.8% expected in fiscal year 2025.

This recovery is supported by higher domestic consumption, increased agricultural income, and workers’ remittances. However, the ADB emphasizes the importance of adhering to economic reforms to sustain this growth and stabilize the macroeconomic environment.

Inflation in Pakistan, which averaged 23.4% in FY2024, is expected to decrease to 15% in FY2025 due to more regulated monetary policy and stable food prices.

Despite risks, the continued focus on reforms, including improving public finances, reducing fiscal risks, and encouraging private sector growth, is essential for sustained economic recovery.
