Islamabad, Jan 27: Azmatullah Omarzai’s exceptional performances in 2024 have earned him the ICC Men’s ODI Player of the Year award, cementing his status as one of the finest all-rounders in modern-day cricket. The Afghanistan star delivered consistently outstanding performances across formats, but his dominance in ODIs truly stood out.

In 14 ODIs during 2024, Omarzai amassed 417 runs at an impressive average of 52.12, firmly establishing himself as a key player for Afghanistan with the bat. He also proved his worth with the ball, claiming 17 wickets at a remarkable average of 20.47, demonstrating his all-around prowess. His ability to contribute in both departments made him one of the most balanced players in the format.
