TRENDING Umrah and Ziyarah forum kicks off in Madinah today.

Throughout the T20 World Cup 2024, Ahmed Shehzad has shown visible frustration over his continued exclusion from the team, sparking speculation about tensions with skipper Babar Azam, his former teammate from age-group cricket.

During a recent interview the 32-year-old notably left out Babar Azam from his all-time Pakistan XI. Shehzad justified his choices, highlighting Saeed Anwar and Majid Khan as his opening batsmen for their dominating styles. He praised Zaheer Abbas for his elegant stroke play and Younis Khan for his work ethic and impressive stats. Javed Miandad was included for his impactful performances.

Shehzad also selected Shahid Afridi for his dual prowess in batting and spin bowling, and Moin Khan as the wicketkeeper for his tidy glovework. Saqlain Mushtaq made the team for his match-winning abilities, while Mohammad Zahid was chosen for his exceptional pace, famously acknowledged by Brian Lara as the fastest he faced.
