Islamabad, Feb 12: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the schedule for the written entry tests for admission to its MS, M.Phil, and Ph.D. programs for the Spring 2025 semester. The tests will be held from October 24 to 27, 2025, with each faculty’s entry test scheduled on different dates.
The Faculty of Education’s test will take place on February 24, followed by the Faculty of Social Sciences on February 25, the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies on February 26, and the Faculty of Sciences on February 27. All entry tests will begin at 9:00 AM at various centers, including the main campus in Islamabad, as well as regional centers in Gilgit-Baltistan, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta. Candidates are free to choose the test center that best suits their convenience.

Admissions for these programs will remain open until February 17. Aspiring students can find the admission forms and prospectuses on the AIOU website, with all applications required to be submitted online. The university has emphasized that candidates must pass the entry test and clear the interview to be eligible for admission.
In addition to the postgraduate programs, AIOU is also accepting applications for BS programs, which will be granted on a merit-based system, without the need for an entry test or interview. Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, the Vice Chancellor of AIOU, has issued directives to ensure a transparent admission process and adherence to strict merit-based selection criteria.
