Islamabad, Nov 17: Ambassador Hashmi Attends World Maritime Equipment Conference in Fuzhou, China. In order to attend the World Maritime Equipment Conference and give a speech at one of its side events, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, Khalil Hahsmi, made his first official trip to Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian in Southern China.
Speaking at the “High-Quality Development of Offshore Wind Power Supply Chain” seminar, Ambassador Hashmi, who traveled to Fujian at the invitation of provincial officials, emphasized Pakistan’s natural advantages as a nation with a more than 1,000-kilometer coastline and the nation’s strong emphasis on switching to renewable energy sources.
Ambassador Hashmi emphasized the importance of improving bilateral cooperation by bolstering technical exchanges, infrastructural development, and regulatory assistance, while acknowledging China’s swift progress in the offshore wind industry sector.
He extended an invitation to Chinese investors to investigate the prospects in Pakistan’s offshore wind sector. Additionally, Ambassador Hashmi engaged with several high-ranking Fuzhou officials, including Ms. Guo Ningning, the city’s top political figure.
In Fuzhou, China, Ambassador Hashmi attends the World Maritime Equipment Conference. The two parties reaffirmed their determination to advance the momentum of the general framework of relations between China and Pakistan and to fortify Pakistan-Fuzhou cooperation within the broader bilateral framework.
Under the direction of Pakistani leadership, the Ambassador emphasized Pakistan’s renewed emphasis on business-to-business (B2B) engagement with China and pledged to improve communication between Pakistani and Chinese companies.
In addition, the Ambassador had a tour of the World Maritime Equipment Conference and a separate briefing on the province’s cultural landscape, shipbuilding, and urban development. The center of China’s attempts to improve the maritime sector, reduce poverty, and promote sustainable development is the province of Fujian in southern China. For around 17 years, Chinese President Xi Jinping has also resided in the province, particularly Fuzhou.
