Islamabad, Sep 7: 15,000 people have applied for interest-free house loans thus far as part of the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” campaign, which started accepting loan applications on September 6.

According to specifics, 657 Gujranwala applicants were chosen to get loans in the first phase. A total of 2,628 city residents will get something from the initiative during its four stages. With major intentions for greater urban centers, the initiative promises to reach a wider range of geographies.

Specifics of the Plan
At a ceremony in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the launch and listed the advantages of the scheme:
1.Amount of Loan: 15 lakh PKR

2.Installments per month: 14,000 PKR

3.Repayment Term: Seven Years

4.Zero interest rate

The program is aimed at both urban and rural residents:
Interest-free loans up to 10 marla plots are available in rural areas.

Urban Areas: 4-story apartment buildings on public property and 3–5 marla homes built under private initiatives. In private developments, the government will provide up to Rs 10 lakh in subsidies each house.

Prospective Schemes and the Application Procedure:
The program aims to construct more than 3,000 dwelling units in every district, beginning with the five largest cities: Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Sargodha. The first phase of construction in Lahore would concentrate on building 5,000 homes close to Raiwind Road.

Interested parties can apply by phone at 080009100, which is a toll-free number, or via the PITB portal. Applications from approved housing colonies are processed at a dedicated desk.Director General of accommodation Saif Anwar emphasized the program’s dedication to offering recipients simple repayment alternatives and inexpensive accommodation.
