According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the device will feature advanced technology like Face ID for automatic user recognition and door unlocking. This innovation could position Apple as a serious competitor to established players like Amazon’s Ring and Google Nest.
Key Features of the Smart Doorbell:
- Face ID Integration: The smart doorbell will leverage Face ID technology, using a proprietary wireless networking chip called Proxima for on-device processing of facial recognition data. This ensures that all images related to Face ID are processed locally, enhancing privacy and security.
