Islamabad, Feb 5: Apple has introduced a new iPhone app called ‘Invites,’ designed to revolutionize the way digital invitations are sent. As urban areas in Pakistan transition from traditional hand-delivered invitation cards to more modern, digital solutions, this app aims to meet the growing demand for more efficient and personalized event planning.
In densely populated cities, where traffic congestion limits the feasibility of personally delivering physical invitations, many families have embraced digital alternatives. While basic templates shared via apps like WhatsApp have become popular, Apple’s Invites app offers a more robust and feature-rich experience.
The app allows users to customize invitations with backgrounds from their personal photo library or a variety of options in the app’s gallery. It also integrates location data via Maps, enabling event planners to easily share venue details, while the Weather app provides forecasts for the day of the event, offering added convenience for both hosts and guests.
For those looking to personalize their invitations further, Invites includes AI-powered features such as Image Playground, which allows users to create unique images, and Writing Tools for drafting personalized messages. Hosts can efficiently manage RSVPs, control what appears on the invitation preview, and even select what event details, such as venue address and background design, are visible to recipients.

Guests can access the invitations through either the iPhone app or a web browser, and they don’t need an Apple account or iCloud+ subscription to participate. After the event, attendees can contribute photos to a shared album, and hosts can also share Apple Music playlists with their guests, enhancing the overall event experience.
Despite the rise of digital alternatives, traditional hand-delivered invitation cards are still deeply ingrained in Pakistani culture, especially for significant events like weddings, naming ceremonies, and housewarming parties. However, with this new application, Apple offers a seamless bridge between tradition and modernity, catering to urban communities that seek both efficiency and cultural relevance.
Available for download on the App Store or through a web browser at icloud.com/invites, Apple’s Invites app enters an evolving digital invitation market, offering a fresh alternative to both physical cards and existing online solutions.
