Ataullah Tarar, the Federal Minister of Information, Broadcasting, Culture, and Heritage, stopped by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) offices on Wednesday to go over the plans for the August 14 Independence Day events, known as “Azadi Fest.”

A statement claims that Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa gave Minister Attaullah Tarar a cordial welcome.

Federal Minister Ataullah Tarar presided over a meeting where the topic of the Independence Day festivities was discussed. Senior representatives from the CDA, the Administrator of the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI), and the Deputy Commissioner of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) were present at the meeting.

The gathering settled on the goals of “Azadi Fest,” which featured fireworks, variety shows, flag hoisting ceremonies, musical performances, cuisine festivals, exhibitions of various Pakistani cultures, and a revival of Pakistani patriotism.

A drone demonstration will also be included in the festivities for the first time.

Special plans were also considered for the city’s branding and renovations to capture the spirit of the holidays. MarGo, the official mascot of Islamabad, which symbolizes wealth with “Go” standing for “Margalla,” will be a key component of the branding campaign.

The corporate and private sectors were encouraged to fund a range of events, such as musical performances, lighting designs, tree planting drives, municipal branding, and drone displays. This was discussed during the conference.

Event sponsors will receive exclusive benefits, such as free space and amenities, to further market their business while also supporting the festivities.

Federal Minister Ataullah Tarar received praise from Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa for his visit and assistance. In order to make Azadi Fest an extraordinary occasion for all residents, he emphasized the value of teamwork in guaranteeing the success of the Independence Day events.
