Islamabad, Apr 25, 2025: Attock Petroleum Limited (APL), listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), has entered into a strategic partnership with HUBCO Green (Pvt.) Ltd.—a fully owned entity of Hub Power Holdings Limited.

This collaboration aims to establish a widespread electric vehicle (EV) charging ecosystem across Pakistan by installing advanced EV charging stations at various APL fueling outlets.

The goal is to support the nation’s transition to cleaner, sustainable mobility and encourage the adoption of eco-friendly transportation solutions.

The official agreement was finalized on April 24, 2025. Both companies will jointly work on identifying strategic locations, deploying necessary infrastructure, and promoting EV usage across urban and highway networks.

By combining APL’s nationwide presence and HUBCO Green’s clean energy vision, this partnership is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating Pakistan’s green energy transformation.

This initiative mirrors an earlier move made in 2024, when Pakistan State Oil (PSO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hub Power Company (HUBCO) to introduce EV charging stations throughout the country.

The trend highlights growing interest among energy giants to invest in electric vehicle technology and infrastructure, responding to increasing demand for carbon-neutral transportation.

With the government’s focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable practices, such private-sector collaborations are seen as key drivers in building a national EV framework.

As electric vehicles gain popularity, the availability of charging facilities becomes vital for public convenience and confidence.

APL’s investment in this green initiative reflects its commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.

Similarly, HUBCO Green is rapidly positioning itself as a leader in renewable energy development, and this venture complements its ongoing projects in wind, solar, and hydroelectric power.

This landmark partnership not only supports cleaner transportation but also aligns with global trends favoring low-emission technologies.

It is expected that the presence of EV chargers at APL sites will significantly boost consumer interest and drive traffic to fuel stations offering dual services.

As Pakistan moves toward a sustainable future, collaborations like this pave the way for eco-conscious growth, reduce dependency on fossil fuels, and create new avenues for economic development.
