Islamabad, Oct 28: There are many surprises in Cricket Australia’s T20I Squad team for the forthcoming series against Pakistan at home.

Australia T20 Squad for Pakistan Series:

Sean Abbott Tim David Spencer Johnson
Xavier Bartlett Nathan Ellis Glenn Maxwell
Adam Zampa Jake Fraser-McGurk Matthew Short
Marcus Stoinis Aaron Hardie
Cooper Connolly Josh Inglis

Following their Test players’ decision to skip the T20I Squad against Pakistan in order to concentrate on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against India, which starts a few days after the conclusion of this series, the weakened Australia team was revealed.

With Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, and Matt Short competing for the position, Australia will have a new T20I captain.

Additionally, Australia’s head coach Andrew McDonald will not be coaching them during the T20 series; instead, Andre Borovec will take over. Prior to last year’s ODI World Cup, Borovec played a similar position in a five-match T20I series against India.

Following their recovery from injuries incurred during Australia’s recent tour of the United Kingdom, fast bowlers Nathan Ellis, Spencer Johnson, and Xavier Bartlett have all been summoned back.

In keeping with the Australians, Pakistan has named a number of young players for the tour in an effort to assemble a team for the future.
