Islamabad, Dec 17: In a ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti distributed scooters to students of Quetta Girls Postgraduate College as part of the Pink Scooty Scheme. This initiative aims to empower women by improving their mobility and facilitating their education.

Key Highlights:

  • 50 Scooters: Were distributed to deserving female students as part of the scheme, launched last month.
  • Employment Opportunities: The Chief Minister also announced job opportunities for the students’ brothers, emphasizing his government’s commitment to supporting families across the province.
  • Speeches and Commitments: CM Bugti highlighted women’s empowerment as a key priority for the provincial government and reiterated that the Pink Scooty Scheme is part of a broader initiative aimed at supporting the development and mobility of women in Balochistan.
  • Scheme Expansion: The Chief Minister assured that the scheme would be expanded to provide more scooters to deserving students, ensuring greater education accessibility for female students across the province.
  • Reflecting on his own background, CM Bugti emphasized the importance of uplifting the middle class and understanding their challenges.

The ceremony was attended by Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani, the college principal, and the families of the students. The Pink Scooty Scheme is one of several initiatives undertaken by the provincial government to enhance the mobility and opportunities for female students in Balochistan.
