Islamabad, Oct 20: Balochistan CM Launches Youth Skills Development Programme to Empower Future Workforce. The Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Program was launched by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti. In stages, the program seeks to teach 30,000 young people from Balochistan and give them access to employment prospects overseas.

According to a senior official who spoke to Dawn, 2,500 young people from different parts of the province who were chosen on the basis of merit would leave for training overseas in the first phase. These people will find employment abroad after their training is over.

In his first address to the provincial legislature, the chief minister said during Friday’s inaugural ceremony that it has always been a desire of his to send talented young people from Balochistan overseas to find work.

He declared that the first group of young people from the province will be sent overseas this year. CM Bugti suggested that preparing young people for work abroad is a workable answer to the serious problem of unemployment, particularly given the dearth of job openings in the public sector.

He promised that every district in Balochistan will have equal representation in the selection process, which would rigorously follow merit. The selection of eligible applicants will be supervised by a third party to guarantee openness and equity.

The chief minister reaffirmed the value of meritocracy and emphasized that no jobs in Balochistan would be auctioned.

The Balochistani administration is prioritizing youth by reallocating resources from other needs and programs, he said, urging the youth to concentrate on development possibilities and warning against taking the wrong route.
