Islamabad, Aug 21: One of the top Islamic banks in Pakistan, Bank Islami Pakistan Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with Euronet Pakistan, a division of Euronet Worldwide, a NASDAQ-listed US company that leads the world in payment processing and transaction services. Euronet Worldwide offers a broad range of financial products and services that are compliant with Shariah.
Senior team members from both organizations as well as Mr. Rizwan Atta, CEO of Bank Islami, and Mr. Kashif Gaya, CEO of Euronet Pakistan, attended the signing event, which took place at the Bank Islami Head Office in Karachi.
By working together, Bank Islami hopes to improve the services provided by its ATMs and debit cards, as well as achieve operational efficiency, increase service uptime, and launch fresh, cutting-edge payment solutions.
All current Bank Islami Debit Cards and ATMs will be switched over to Euronet’s cutting-edge and updated payment processing infrastructure as part of this agreement.
In addition, Euronet will oversee the Bank’s extensive ATM network throughout Pakistan and introduce a number of new card programs and variations. Within Euronet’s data center facilities in Pakistan, the entire solution will be housed on a PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure that complies with local legal requirements, global data security standards, and customer data protection rules.
