ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 10: On Friday, Beenish Fatima, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), would take over as Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Rawalpindi, succeeding Taimoor Khan.

Fatima will be the third woman to hold the CTO position in Punjab. She is also the daughter-in-law of a former Inspector General of Police Punjab. Aisha Butt is the CTO in Gujranwala, while Ammara Athar is the CTO in Lahore at the moment.

Furthermore, since the City Traffic Police were founded in Rawalpindi in 2007, Fatima would be the first female CTO.After serving as CTO from November 18, 2022, CTO Taimoor Khan formally resigned from his role.

Traffic wardens gave him a heartfelt send-off, showering him with roses as he departed. Khan gave hugs and expressions of thanks to the workers and traffic cops before bidding them farewell.

Khan carried out a number of improvements during his tenure, including the opening of new driving license and learner centers at various sites and the establishment of new driving schools administered by the traffic police.
