Islamabad, Oct 30: CDA Approves Refunds for Overseas Pakistanis and Markets

For Pakistanis living abroad who invested in the Nilore Heights Housing Project, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has authorized a complete reimbursement of processing expenses.

Several important decisions were made at the 15th board meeting of CDA, which was presided over by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The decisions centered on aiding CDA employees, impacted Islamabad locals, and Pakistanis living abroad.

The Board resolved to give preference to Pakistanis living abroad when allocating plots in Sector C-14 by balloting. By establishing a seven-member committee to examine their cases, the CDA Board also addressed the long-standing worries of the impacted citizens of Islamabad.

To ensure equitable rehabilitation payments for all impacted, a third-party validation committee was authorized to examine the results. To change land acquisition rules, a committee was formed that included the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad and the Member Administration.

The board also instructed the law wing to create suggestions for the creation and restoration of covered markets in the city. Additionally, a new legal adviser was appointed by Board with the condition that no former legal advisor would advocate claims against the authority within a year of losing their position.

A promotion path for Park Managers and Assistant Park Managers in the Environment Wing was approved by the board for CDA employees. Additionally, employed physical training instructors received a promotion to Grade 16, bringing their standing in line with federal institutions.
