ISLAMABAD – May 2, 2025: An important meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was held at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The meeting was attended by Member Admin, Member Estate, Member Engineering, Member Planning, Member Environment, Member Technology and other senior CDA officers.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of CDA’s overall performance was conducted, particularly focusing on sector development, beautification, sanitation, construction of new roads and underpasses, and further improvements in public tansport facilities especially increasing the number of electric buses and cable cars. Progress on projects such as the upgrading of F-9 Park, Lake View Parks, Theme Park and Adventure Park was also reviewed.

Chairman CDA directed a third-party audit of all projects and emphasized special attention to sector development. Expressing his commitment to ensuring water supply for the citizens of Islamabad, Chairman CDA stated that while CDA has already established the Islamabad Water Agency to address water-related issues, a detailed feasibility report should also be prepared to explore future water supply options. Additionally, he instructed legal engagement with national and international donors.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa further directed that a list of legal and illegal housing societies in Islamabad be published on the CDA website and advertised in the media so that the public can verify the legal status of a society before making any investments. Later, Chairman CDA personally listened to complaints from various citizens and issued on-the-spot orders.
