ISLAMABAD, JULY16: Changan introduced the black edition of Alsvin a few weeks ago; in terms of performance or mechanics, these upgrades are purely ornamental. Changan is charging 25,000 PKR more for these aesthetic enhancements than they do for their Lumiere edition.
Are There Any Body Changes?
Other than the alloy wheels and side view mirrors, the body remains unchanged save for the wheel and mirror colors. Additionally, the interior is entirely black; the previous edition featured a black interior with beige accents on the door panels, roof, and seats. The new edition, as its name implies, has an all-black interior; some may find this appealing, while others may find the all-black edition offensive.
Fun fact: Prior to 2012, the beige interior was designated as the top variant, while the black interior was regarded as the base variant. However, a black inside is now considered a premium option, with beige utilized for the entry-level model.
Here’s the 1-1 comparison of Lumiere and Black Edition:

Does the Cost Make Sense?
There is a 25,000 PKR difference between Lumiere and Black Edition. The company is providing some nice cosmetic adjustments for $25,000, so the cost is reasonable. It’s a decent bundle, but if you want to do these things later on, the cost will undoubtedly quadruple or perhaps surpass $25,000.
Has Performance Changed at All?
No, not even one performance has changed. The only differences are in the color of the alloys and mirror. The engine, gearbox, tires, and even the alloys are all the same. You can’t expect the corporation to provide performance upgrades for $25,000.
