Islamabad, Dec 5: China plans to open more than 22 centers of excellence in Pakistan to offer advanced technical and vocational training and Chinese language skills. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between China’s TANG International Education Group and Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) strengthened the project.
The project, which is overseen by the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, aims to develop innovation through bilateral cooperation while equipping a workforce with the necessary skills to satisfy the expectations of contemporary industry.
Additionally, it seeks to expand Pakistani youth employment prospects globally, especially in China and other areas linked by the Belt and Road Initiative. Modern IT skills will be emphasized in the centers’ state-of-the-art Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curricula. By giving young people skills that are in line with the demands of the global labor market, this program is anticipated to play a significant part in Pakistan’s socioeconomic development.
Senior officials from both nations, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy, TANG International, and NAVTTC, attended the signing event. The project demonstrates the expanding collaboration between China and Pakistan in advancing workforce development and education.
