Islamabad, Sep 23: People’s Republic of China President Xi Jinping has sent heartfelt birthday wishes to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif through a special letter.

In his message, President Xi emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between China and Pakistan, noting their mutual support in both good and challenging times. He assured that global changes would not affect their ties, highlighting the fruitful discussions during Prime Minister Shehbaz’s visit to China in June.

The President reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening relations, particularly through strategic cooperation on projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), aimed at securing a prosperous future for both nations.

In related news, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif celebrated the 75th National Day of the People’s Republic of China. During the ceremony, she congratulated Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren and praised China’s achievements and unwavering support for Pakistan.

Maryam described the Pakistan-China friendship as rooted in trust and respect, emphasizing the significance of CPEC as a symbol of hope and development for Pakistan’s economic landscape.

She acknowledged China’s role in lifting millions out of poverty and commended its contributions during global crises, particularly through the Belt and Road Initiative.
