Islamabad, Jan 28: The Chinese Embassy has addressed a recent article in The Guardian which allegedly quoted a Chinese diplomat, describing the remarks as completely untrue. The embassy spokesperson emphasized that the wording in the article lacked credibility and misrepresented China’s stance.

The embassy further criticized the practice of fabricating false information without prior consent and called it a violation of professional ethics.

In response, the embassy highlighted China’s ongoing and tangible support for the development of Gwadar Port and Balochistan. Key initiatives include providing $100,000 in emergency relief for Balochistan in March of the previous year, as well as the transport of 10,000 solar lighting sets in May.

Additionally, the Gwadar China-Pakistan Friendship Hospital and Gwadar desalination plant were handed over in June, with further achievements throughout the year, including the successful completion of the new Gwadar International Airport in October.
