Karakoram International University (KIU) in Gilgit-Baltistan recently hosted a vibrant Chinese Food and Cultural Festival, showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of China. The event commemorated the 73rd anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, underscoring the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations, as reported by Gwadar Pro.

The festival, meticulously organized by the China Study Centre, International Office, and the Confucius Institute at KIU, transformed the venue into a bustling marketplace filled with Chinese delicacies and cultural artifacts.

Students enthusiastically participated in workshops on using chopsticks, mastering the art of eating traditional Chinese dishes like noodles and dumplings. Their joy in acquiring this new skill was evident.

Highlighting the cultural aspect of the festival, Prof. Dr. Sajjad, Director of the International Office at KIU, performed Chinese Tai Chi, demonstrating his deep appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture, which he cultivated during his time in China.

The lively festival attracted over 100 participants. The China Study Centre and the Confucius Institute at KIU plan to continue hosting such events to further strengthen the bonds between Pakistan and China through cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
