ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 17: Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif declared that the Punjab government will provide more than Rs 125 billion a year to pay for 25,000 Students.
She gave the appropriate authorities instructions to present rewards to Punjab’s top-performing kids from all school boards, together with their instructors, at a meeting with the school Department.
Additionally, CM Maryam gave her approval to the Student Scholarship Program and the Student Laptop Scheme, instructing the appropriate authorities to initiate these programs. The Punjab government would provide more than Rs 125 billion a year to pay for the education of 25,000 students, the speaker declared.
In addition, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif oversaw the start of a scheme for the transportation of female students, the first phase of which would see buses supplied to 60 females’ colleges in Punjab. She also gave the go-ahead for the government to start building IT hubs in every Punjabi district right now.
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat attended the meeting, along with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary to CM Sajid Zafar Dal, and Secretary Higher Education Dr. Farrukh Naveed.
