Islamabad, JULY26: Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to increase safety throughout the province and boost online taxi services.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the significance of improved regulations and technology to assist service providers and users at a recent meeting with representatives from an online taxi service company. She underlined the necessity of new regulations to raise the caliber of services provided by the ride-hailing industry. Linking the Women Safety App with online ride-hailing services was a major suggestion that was addressed in order to improve security and safety for female riders who use technology.

The Chief Minister also spoke on improving work prospects, with a particular emphasis on women and young people. In order to protect their safety on the road, she instructed bike riders to always wear safety gear.

The workshop also addressed how information technology may be used to improve transportation amenities. In order to increase accessibility to the internet, Maryam Nawaz has indicated plans to expand the free Wi-Fi project outside of Lahore and Kasur. It is anticipated that this expansion will make it simpler for people, especially women, to access online transportation services.

The Punjab government’s commitment to bolstering commercial activity and generating employment prospects was reaffirmed by Maryam Nawaz. “Every initiative that encourages business activity and creates employment will be supported,” she said.
