Islamabad, Aug 26: Hyderabad’s Deputy Commissioner Zain ul Abideen Memon presided over an urgent meeting in response to the PDMA’s advisory regarding the province’s potential for heavy rainfall and flooding.

He gave orders during the meeting, declaring that all employees’ leaves were cancelled until further notice and that no employee would be permitted to leave the headquarters without prior authorization from the district level.

Additionally, he gave the talukas’ Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars instructions to create duty rosters for their individual regions. Assistant commissioners were instructed by the deputy commissioner to visit pumping stations during inclement weather to make sure fuel was available and every station was operating.

The Deputy Commissioner underlined that there was a chance of flooding during the next monsoon season and asked all relevant authorities to remain vigilant and prepared to handle any catastrophe. DC Hyderabad stated that safeguarding district Hyderabad was our first responsibility as administrative officials.
