A total of 710 ultra-modern CCTV cameras will be installed across strategic locations in Peshawar.
These surveillance units are equipped with 12-megapixel technology, offering far superior image clarity and facial recognition capabilities compared to the 8-megapixel cameras previously used in similar projects nationwide.
This technological upgrade aims to not only deter criminal activity but also support real-time monitoring and rapid response operations.
The Peshawar Safe City project is a critical component of the province’s broader vision to improve public safety, enhance urban management, and create a smart city ecosystem.
With advanced digital surveillance, seamless coordination between law enforcement agencies, and AI-powered analytics, the project promises a significant reduction in crime rates and a safer environment for residents.
The KP government’s commitment to leveraging technology for security modernization is evident through this initiative.
Citizens can expect improved traffic monitoring, emergency response efficiency, and overall law and order in the coming months.
As work moves forward at full pace, the Peshawar Safe City project stands as a symbol of progress, safety, and digital transformation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s capital.
