The Punjab School Education Department declared on Friday that summer vacations for schools and colleges across the province will commence from June 1st and conclude on August 14th, 2024.
As per the notification, all public and private schools in Punjab will remain closed from Saturday, June 1st, 2024, until Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. Normal operations are set to resume on Thursday, August 15th, 2024.
This directive mirrors the recent decision made by the Balochistan Education Department regarding summer vacations for students.
In response to the escalating threat of heatwaves The Secretary of Education has adjusted the operating hours for federally run educational institutions. Effective immediately and until the commencement of the summer break these institutions will commence classes from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Secretary underscored that this modification is intended to safeguard both students and educators from the impending heatwave.
