Islamabad, Dec 25: Earthquake tremors were felt in Mingora and other parts of the Swat Valley, sparking concern among residents. The Seismological Center in Islamabad reported the earthquake at a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 225 kilometers. The epicenter was identified as the tri-border region of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.

This marks the second consecutive day of seismic activity in the region. Just a day prior, Swat and its neighboring areas experienced a similar earthquake of 4.2 magnitude. The depth of that quake was measured at 165 kilometers, with the epicenter also located at the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.

While no casualties or significant damages have been reported so far, the recurring tremors have heightened concerns among the local population. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging residents to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols in the event of further seismic activity.
