Islamabad, Aug 26: In collaboration with Pak Arab Fertilizer Company, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has donated thirty computers to the F/8-1 Computer Lab of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG). The Education Ministry has taken the lead on a number of projects in partnership with the corporate sector in an effort to modernize education significantly.
The Education Ministry states that collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to improving the facilities and standard of instruction in federal capital government schools. In this regard, a memorandum of agreement was signed by the principal, Prof. Asiya Rafique Malik, the federal secretary of education, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and a representative from the Pakistan Arab fertilizer firm, Brigadier Abid Ali Askari. The company also funded thirty computers for the IMCG F-8/1 college lab.
In his remarks, Chief Guest Mr. Wani outlined his aim for increasing young employment options and providing them with the newest skills. He revealed that the ministry is carrying out a number of projects in collaboration with the business sector to improve the facilities and standard of education.
He came to the conclusion that the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is dedicated to giving government school pupils the greatest possible educational resources. He continued, “Now is the time for parents and students to look beyond the careers of doctors and engineers and to pursue careers in all other fields in order to serve our nation.”
