Islamabad, Oct 8: Engro Fertilizers Unveils UgAi App to Empower Farmers with Direct Purchasing and Advanced Technologies. Engro Fertilizers has made available the direct purchase of fertilizers at official prices from the company with the introduction of “UgAi,” the first integrated agri-e-commerce platform in Pakistan. The UgAi app is already available for free to farmers in Sindh, and there are plans to roll it out nationally very soon.
Engro Fertilizers will use the UgAi app to supply farmers with fertilizer directly from its warehouses, customized to the size and requirements of their individual farms. Farmers will profit from consistent fertilizer availability, dependable product quality, and easy delivery as a result. UgAi incorporates cutting-edge drone technology and satellite imagery in addition to its direct purchase feature to monitor crops precisely, lower input costs, and increase crop yield.
Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar, the Minister of Agriculture Department for Sindh, was the chief guest at the UgAi launch ceremony. Senior members of the farming community, representatives from Engro Fertilizers, and guest of honor Rafique Ahmed Buriro, Secretary to the Government of Sindh Agriculture, Supply & Prices Department, also attended the ceremony.
Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar praised Engro Fertilizers for this new effort at the inauguration, saying that it has raised the bar for the nation’s farming community. He emphasized that the UgAi app will help in the fight against issues like manufactured shortages, value chain pricing distortion, and fake goods that hurt farmers.
In order to reduce farmers’ workloads and increase their productivity, Rafique Ahmed Buriro emphasized the vital necessity for digitization. He underlined that by introducing cutting-edge techniques, this invention would raise Pakistan’s agriculture industry to international levels.
