ISLAMABAD, JULY15: The Environmental Monitoring Team of Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) has conducted a comprehensive sampling and monitoring exercise to assess the air and surface water quality at residential and industrial zone of the federal capital.

A high-volume air sampler was installed in the residential area of Margalla Town Phase-II to monitor air quality. In contrast, the team collected surface water samples from three key locations including Rawal Dam outlet and Nullahs at I-9, the Pak-EPA shared the information on its Facebook handle while sharing recent activities of the agency.It added that these efforts intended to ensure the protection of public health, environment and the identification of potential sources of pollution.

“The collected samples will be analyzed for various parameters, including physical, chemical, and biological characteristics. Pak-EPA is committed to regular environment monitoring and taking swift action against any environmental violations or threats,” it said.
