Islamabad, Apr 30, 2025: Chery’s sub-brand Jaecoo has taken the spotlight at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025 by debuting the all-new Jaecoo J5, a compact fully electric SUV aimed at global markets.
With its modern electric architecture, enhanced safety technologies, and sleek aesthetics, the J5 sets a bold tone in the evolving EV segment.
While an official release in Pakistan is yet to be confirmed, Chery’s recent local collaborations hint at strong potential for the model to make its way into the Pakistani automotive landscape.
Powertrain, Battery Specs & Driving Range
Under the hood, the Jaecoo J5 comes equipped with a 61 kWh battery pack, offering an impressive range of up to 470 km (NEDC) and around 400 km (WLTP) on a full charge.
This electric SUV produces 155 kW of peak power and 288 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds. With front-wheel drive and a towing capacity of 1,250 kg, the J5 blends city practicality with functional power for light towing needs.

Measuring approximately 4.3 meters in length, the Jaecoo J5 boasts a stylish yet functional profile. Its bold hexagonal front grille, paired with striking LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), gives it a futuristic edge.
