Islamabad, Aug 15: Affordability is a major factor in China’s rapid rise to prominence in the production of electric vehicles. Recently, another electric sedan, the Great Wall Motors (GWM) ORA 7, made its debut. The model is the second from the same OEM, which also produced the highly successful Haval and Tank.

GWM ORA 7 – Overview: Following the success of BYD and Deepal, this year appears to be a blossoming one for the Pakistani auto industry. Previously, we reviewed the hatchback ORA 03 from the same GWM, which shared the same design language as other ORA cars. However, ORA 7 appears to have been heavily inspired by the Porsche Panamera.

The ORA 7 Cockpit
These days, designers go to great lengths to give an automobile the futuristic cockpit style of an aircraft shuttle. It has a single-tone interior that comes in tan or black. The ORA 7 has two variants available globally; the one launched in Pakistan is an All-Wheel drive with an 81 KW battery pack capable of delivering 400 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. While pedal shifters are absent, the car has several ADAS features, including auto braking, Lane Keep, and Lane Assist.
