Islamabad, Sep 3: In order to determine the monthly advance tax that will be collected from stores and retail outlets, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the traders’ community will work together to analyze the value tables of commercial assets.

At the FBR House here on Monday, a delegation from All Pakistan Anjuman-i-Tajran, led by its President Ajmal Baloch, met with the FBR Chairman and his group of tax managers.

Following the meeting, Ajmal Baloch told the press that the association has expressed its apprehensions on the valuation tables and their effects on retailers around the nation. In order to assess the valuation tables and other issues brought up by the business and trade, the tax authorities have decided to establish a four-person committee made up of merchants and members of the FBR.

The FBR has not yet notified the joint committee members. Ajmal Baloch continued, “But the FBR is prepared to hear the concerns of All Pakistan Anjuman-i-Tajran, which is a positive development.”
