Today at the Finance Division, a delegation from the Pakistan Tax Bar Association, led by PTBA President Anwar Kashif Mumtaz, paid a visit to Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister of Finance.

The PTBA delegation expressed gratitude to the government for its efforts to broaden the tax base and shared their ideas for streamlining the tax documentation process in order to improve efficiency.

The minister emphasized the government’s dedication to digitization initiatives meant to decrease human interference and increase transparency within the tax administration while also acknowledging the PTBA delegation’s input.He emphasized how important the IT industry is as one of the drivers of economic expansion. Additionally, he urged the delegation to give FBR the crucial information it needs to improve and fortify the nation’s tax structure.

At the end of the meeting, both parties committed to continuing to work together and have ongoing conversations in order to achieve improved fiscal efficiency and economic growth. Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), attended the meeting as well.
