Islamabad, Aug 24: The Chenab River at Head Marala is experiencing an increase in water levels, as alerted by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

At the mentioned location, water levels of about 112964 cusec feet are recorded, clearly indicating that flooding is likely to occur. According to PDMA’s most recent data, there is approximately 163215 cubic feet of water accumulating at the Khanki area and 101,726 cubic feet of floodwater moving through Qadirabad.

The report went on to say that in the next days, a moderate to high level flood is predicted to cross the Chenab River. Residents along the river were advised to stay vigilant by the PDMA, as flooding might potentially affect infrastructure and properties in the near future.
