Islamabad, Oct 25: Foreign Office Releases Travel Advisory for Iraq. Due to increased tensions in the area after Israeli strikes on Lebanon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has cautioned Pakistani citizens planning a trip to Iraq to proceed with great caution.

“Pakistani nationals who are planning trips to Iraq are advised to proceed with extreme caution until the situation stabilizes and regular airline operations resume,” the alert said in light of recent developments.

The alert further mentioned that for more information and help from Foreign Office , Pakistani tourists can get in touch with the Pakistan Embassy in Baghdad. In related developments, Qatar Airways has modified its operations in Jordan and temporarily halted flights to and from Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.

“Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon until further notice due to the current Middle East situation,” the company said. Stating that flights to Jordan’s Amman will only run “during daylight hours.” This choice comes after Israel vowed to retaliate for an October 1 Iranian missile launch and carried out airstrikes in Gaza and Lebanon.
