In Pakistan, the price of gold increased by Rs. 300 per tola on Friday, offsetting the previous day’s losses and reaching an all-time high once more.
The price of 24 carats of gold increased by Rs. 300 per tola to Rs. 257,700, while the price of 10 kilos increased by Rs. 256 to Rs. 220,936, according to figures released by the Karachi Sarafa Association.
The Sarafa Association issued a brief statement in which it reiterated that the price of gold in the local market has been maintained Rs. 2,000 per tola below its true value.
As of 1002 GMT, spot gold prices on the global market had increased by 0.3 percent to $2,462.82 per ounce, while US gold futures had also increased by 0.3 percent to $2,500.50.
